My daughter LOVES penguins and so I decided to start this blog with her in mind. She loves creating cards with me. Many times we both sit down on the kitchen table and craft away. She is very good at trying out new medias and drawing.
My first card is from "Cute As A Button" and the artist is Francesca Lopez. I had posted it for Thanksgiving day but this blog was just created today, so it is a day late.
Her dress fringes and headband is full of glitter. The "Give Thanks with a grateful heart" sentiment was separated and die cut using a circle die. It is popped up with dimensions and pearls are used to adorned the scalloped edges. Clear gems were also used on each corner of the rectangle layers.
The paper roses were hand made and hand-colored to match the tones from the image. The leaves were also die cut and hand colored and embossed to give it a 3-D layer.
As you can see this card is heavily 3-dimensional. Lots of double-sided tapes were used.
